First batch of Rovers player-issue 2019/20 CALM third shirts are now up for auction on eBay with a percentage of each winning bid being donated to mental health charity CALM.
Every season, platinum plus partners and front of shirt sponsors LNER kindly give up their place on the front of the Rovers’ third shirt in order to raise awareness and funds for mental health charity CALM.
Last season’s CALM charity third shirt payed homage to one of the best moments in Rovers recent history being modelled on the iconic green kit worn in THAT 2013 title-decider against Brentford at Griffin Park.
Head of Club Doncaster commercial Jon Warburton said: “In 2019 we celebrated the club’s 140th year and we spent last season honouring our rich history in many different way. The fans reacted extremely well to a third shirt which brought back great memories of one of the club’s most iconic moments.
“But, as ever with the Doncaster Rovers third shirt, it was about much more than a quality product with fantastic design and we were really pleased that LNER once again donated the front of the third shirt to a mental health charity.
“It’s extremely important that we keep the conversation about mental health going not just on mental health day but every day and by donating the front of the third shirt each season, LNER help us do that every year. They’re planning something really special for 2020/21 and we can’t wait for you to see it.”
The modern take on the classic shirt was worn by Rovers in their Sky Bet League One home match against Sunderland and some of the player-issue shirts are now up for auction on eBay.
