Darren Moore says his side stuck to the game-plan in their 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town in Sky Bet League One.
A double from Ben Whiteman, along with goals from Cameron John and Fejiri Okenabirhie sealed the win at the Keepmoat Stadium, and Moore felt they did the basics right for the majority of the 90 minutes.
He said: “We had to match their work rate and endeavour while also being very good in our individual battles across the pitch.
“It’s always nice when you see the players implementing the things in the game that were asked of them beforehand.
“The players got their jobs right and that forced errors from Ipswich which then led to us scoring some good goals.”
Rovers have now had nine different goal-scorers in their six league games so far, and Moore is pleased to see players chipping in when it matters most.
He added: “It’s pleasing that the goals have been shared around the team, to have that is good because it shares the workload.
“It’s not something you look at in too much detail but it is very valuable to have threats all over the pitch.
“Fejiri has worked hard over the past few games and deserved his goal, he steadied himself and finished it really well.”
