Craig Hicks will be the man in charge when Rovers host Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
He has overseen two Rovers matches previously, a 3-2 away win over Southend United on the opening day of the 2018/19 season and a 2-1 home win over Lincoln City in August 2019.
Rovers picked up nine yellow cards across these two games with Cameron John, Madger Gomes, Niall Ennis and Kazaiah Sterling all having their names taken against Lincoln.
Hicks has refereed eight matches in the current campaign across the EFL Trophy, Carabao Cup and Leagues One and Two and has awarded 25 yellow cards.
On Saturday, he will be assisted by Daniel Woodward and Matthew Parry. The fourth official will be Paul Stonier.
