Cameron John says Rovers will prepare right ahead of the long trip to Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night.
The squad head south looking to get back to winning ways in Sky Bet League One, and John says managing their bodies will be key.
He said: “It’s a long journey but we’re all professionals and we’ll do all the right things in the build-up to get us ready for it.
“We’ll rest up and once we get down there we’ll get the food and supplements we need to go out there and get three points.
“The fixture list throws up a couple of long trips every now and again and we’re comfortable going to these places and getting a result.”
John and Reece James have been battling it out for a starting role at left-back so far this season, and the 21-year-old says he’s enjoying the competition.
He added: “It’s good for me learning a different role and myself and Reece both understand the decisions the manager makes.
“It’s healthy competition and we’re both striving to do well and improve each other with each game.
“The more I play at left-back the more comfortable I feel and I know I can make a difference for the team.”
