Carl Boyeson will be the man in the middle when Rovers travel to take on Wigan Athletic in Sky Bet League One this weekend.
The East Riding-based official has been refereeing in the EFL since the 2002/03 campaign, and last refereed Rovers when they beat MK Dons in March.
He has only taken charge of one EFL fixture so far this season, a 3-0 win for Cheltenham Town at Tranmere Rovers on September 19.
Boyeson will be assisted by Mark Cunliffe and Richard Woodward, the fourth official is Conor Brown.
