Jon Taylor says the Rovers squad are confident going into every game after they beat Bristol Rovers 4-1 in Sky Bet League One.

The win made it seven points from a possible nine for Darren Moore’s side, and Taylor believes they were good value for it.

He said: “We started off a little slowly and let them back into the game but after half time we did the job.

“We believe we’re a very good team, we play some good stuff and as a winger it’s exciting to be part of it.

“The manager has a lot of faith in us and we all know our roles under him, that’s what we work on every day and we’re improving all the time.”

Taylor netted his first goal of the season with Rovers’ fourth of the afternoon, and is looking to improve on the six he managed last term.

He added: “I’ve had a couple of chances in the first two games so it’s good to get off the mark and I want to kick on now.

“Every season I want to score as many goals as I can, I scored a few last season but felt I should have got a lot more.”
