After going two goals behind within 25 minutes thanks to Joe Ward and Sammie Szmodics, Andy Butler's men fought back valiantly to secure a draw at London Road. Goals from Fejiri Okenabirhie and Taylor Richards - both assisted by Jason Lokilo who put in a stunning performance in red and white - helped earn a point.
At the other end Louis Jones made some good saves - the best of these was a stop from Mark Beevers point-blank range effort, while Tom Anderson headed one off the line and ward hit the woodwork (twice!).
Rovers had some chances to win it themselves. Josef Bursik made good saves to deny a second for Taylor Richards and prevented Lokilo from earning the goal he deserved when he got in the way of his volleyed effort while skipper Beevers cleared an Andy Butler header off the line in the first half.
