Anthony Backhouse will be the man in charge when Rovers travel to the Wham Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Backhouse has already taken charge of a Rovers match this season when he oversaw Rovers’ 3-2 defeat at Ewood Park in August’s Carabao Cup fixture.
Before that, the last Rovers match he refereed was a 3-0 win at home to Southend United in February 2019.
In the current campaign, Backhouse has taken charge of 29 games handing out 91 yellow cards and two reds.
Andrew Hendley and Richard Woodward will be the assistant referees on Tuesday. Peter Gooch will be fourth official.
