Samuel Barrott will be the man in charge when Rovers host Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
This will be the first time Barrott has refereed a Rovers league game having been promoted to the National List of Referees in the summer of 2020, but he did oversee Rovers’ Emirates FA Cup victory over Blackburn Rovers in January.
On that day, he handed out five yellow cards with Cameron John the only Rovers player booked.
The man from West Riding has been fourth official for six Rovers games including Rovers’ other trip to Ewood Park this season in the Carabao Cup.
On Saturday, Barrott will be assisted by Geoffrey Russell and Billy Smallwood. David Avent will be fourth official.
