Alan Young will be the man in charge when Rovers host Wigan Athletic at the Keepmoat Stadium.
This will be the fourth time Young has taken charge of a Rovers game despite only joining the National List of Referees in 2018.
Rovers have never managed to win a game when Young was in charge. They drew against Oxford United in 2018 and Portsmouth in 2019 but lost to Manchester United U21s in the EFL Trophy and were defeated at Plymouth Argyle earlier this season.
The Swindon-born official handed out four yellow cards on that evening in Devon with only Reece James picking up a booking for Rovers.
So far this season, Young has taken charge of 27 matches handing out 114 yellow cards and two reds.
On Saturday, he will be assisted by Mark Cunliffe and Geoffrey Liddle. Samuel Barrott will be fourth official.
