Tom Anderson gave his assessment on the narrow defeat to Accrington Stanley in Sky Bet League One.
Rovers were beaten by Joe Pritchard’s early strike at the Wham Stadium.
On the overall performance:
“It’s very disappointing. It took us a little while to get going and we knew it would be different to the weekend.
“When you come to Accrington you have to do the basics right, they make it difficult for you from the first minute.
“We had a good reaction after half-time, we got higher up the pitch and in better areas but couldn’t get the goal we needed.”
On the start to the campaign:
“Losing the first three league games is tough but we can’t get caught up in any kind of panic.
“When we play our game it’s clear to see the patterns, we just have to do that more often.
“A lot of clubs are in similar positions with everything that’s happened in the world over the past 18 months.
“There has been a lot of change everywhere, and we have to be patient when you consider the overhaul the squad has had.”
