Aidan Barlow is looking forward to testing himself against Sky Bet Championship opposition when Rovers take on Stoke City on Tuesday night.
Richie Wellens’ side head to the bet365 Stadium in the Carabao Cup second round.
On facing Stoke:
“I can’t wait for it, it will be a good game and another chance for me to play at a really good stadium with a good atmosphere.
“They are a good club with a strong squad which probably takes the pressure off us a bit.
“Having said that we know what we’re capable of and we’ll be going there to try and win the game.”
On his own start to the season:
“I played the first four games which is good for myself and helped me to settle in.
“The results haven’t quite gone our way but I think it’s clear to see the progress we’re making.
“When you get time on the pitch you have to take it, as a player in the final third we are working hard on improving our end product.”
On working with Richie Wellens:
“Every day I’m putting in the work and trying to keep my levels high so I can impress the manager.
“Everyone can learn off him because he knows the game so well, it’s a bonus having someone like that in charge.
“On the training pitch he spots the finer details to improve us and it means we’re constantly moving forward.”
