Rovers’ Carabao Cup second round tie against Sky Bet Championship side Stoke City will take place on Tuesday August 24, with a 7.45pm kick-off.
The game will mark the first time Rovers have played at the bet365 Stadium, or the Britannia as it was formerly known, since the historic 3-2 victory over Dagenham & Redbridge in the Conference play-off final in 2003.
Richie Wellens’ side progressed to the second round with a penalty shootout victory over Sky Bet League Two side Walsall after a 0-0 draw in 90 minutes while Stoke saw off League One Fleetwood Town 2-1.
