Fans on Twitter have voted Pontus Dahlberg as man of the match for his performance against Portsmouth.
The Watford loanee had a fairly quiet opening half while Rovers dominated possession, but he was much busier in the second period. He made an incredible save to deny Jacobs’ curling shot through a sea of bodies, and a good stop to prevent John Marquis’ header from close range.
His save to deny Shaun Williams from the penalty spot with just over ten minutes of the match remaining, however, was the match defining moment and ensured Rovers would register their first point of the season.
John Bostock - who was largely responsible for Rovers first half dominance - came second, with Cameron John third and Tommy Rowe fourth. There’s also a special mention for Ethan Galbraith who put in another assured performance in the centre of the park.
