Rovers suffered defeat at the hands of Rotherham United in Sky Bet League One.
A first-half Michael Smith brace was the difference when the two sides met at the ASSEAL New York Stadium and while a red card for the home side before the half-hour mark did seem to give Rovers an opening into the game, Richie Wellens' side were unable to make their advantage count.
