Rovers needed penalties to see off Walsall in the first round of the Carabao Cup but a spectacular penalty by Tom Anderson and a cool finish from Kyle Knoyle sealed the win after three saves in a row by Pontus Dahlberg had reeled in Walsall who had led after scoring their opening two spot kicks.
