Rovers have completed the loan signing of Peruvian winger Rodrigo Vilca from Premier League side Newcastle United.
The exciting 22-year-old arrives at the Keepmoat Stadium after impressing in the Magpies U23s since arriving in November 2020.
Vilca made his professional debut in his homeland with Deportivo Municipal, and went on to play 28 times before his move to the UK.
On joining Rovers, Vilca said: “I’m really excited to come to Doncaster and have a chance to show what I can do in England.
“I feel since joining Newcastle I have improved a lot already so this is the next step for me.
“I have heard a lot of positive things about the club and the players here and I am looking forward to meeting my team mates.”
