An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and knowledgeable individual within the senior backroom team for a head of sports science / fitness coach to join Doncaster Rovers, and lead on all areas of the programme and helping to shape practice across the Club Doncaster group when the opportunity arises.
The successful candidate will be part of a small team and report to the first team manager, providing advice and expertise in areas of strength and conditioning and player profiling. You will be working within a tight knitted team to play a key part in delivering a culture of accountability, injury prevention, rehabilitation and multi-disciplinary support and working.
It is essential that candidates must have previous experience in a senior elite sport environment, and have the appropriate coaching / sports science related qualifications, such as UEFA B licence qualifications, and demonstrable experience or and BA / MA in Sports Science or a closely related discipline.
Core hours will be in line with all elite teams training calendar. The successful candidate should be available for evening and weekend work where this is required as dictated by the match schedule and the unexpected demands of the job. They will also be expected to travel nationally with professional squads when this is required.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively with players, staff and senior management and be adaptable and innovative.
