After a dominant first half in which Rovers failed to get the goal they deserved, Louis Jones made two unbelievable second-half stops to keep the score level before Branden Horton chipped in with an assist with ten minutes remaining. His 80th minute corner-kick delivery was nodded in by Joseph Olowu on his return to the starting XI after serving a three match ban.
Rovers had to see out some late pressure but showed real maturity for such a young side to ensure they reached the final whistle with a clean sheet and three points.
