Branden Horton spoke to the media following the defeat against Mansfield Town in the Emirates FA Cup second round.
The young defender opened the scoring with his first ever professional goal at the Keepmoat Stadium, but the Stags were the team to progress in the competition.
On a good start:
“It was a very good start for us, we came out fighting and got a goal which boosted confidence.
“It’s a nice feeling to get my first goal, hopefully there will be more to come because it was a great feeling.
“I thought first-half we did well and took a lead into half-time, but couldn’t build on it which is disappointing.”
On the team reacting better to things going against them:
“They came out quickly after the break and we didn’t respond well to that, it’s a big learning curve.
“An early goal for them meant that our heads went down a little bit and we need to make sure that doesn’t keep happening.”
