Kyle Knoyle spoke to the media ahead of Tuesday night’s game against Oxford United at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Rovers are looking to close the gap on the teams above with their first league victory in six matches.
On the players going through a tough spell:
“As a team and as a club we’re sticking together, we believe there are a lot of good players and characters in the group.
“There’s no doubt that we’re giving everything and trying to implement the instructions given to us.
“I think we have to learn from the tough experiences we’ve had this season and try to use them as motivation.”
On Gary McSheffrey’s impact on the group:
“I’ve enjoyed him coming in, we had a meeting on Friday morning and the messages he was giving us were clear.
“He said the right things to give us a lift and he is the type of manager who puts his arm around players.
“We’re doing our best for Gary and Frank Sinclair, and will continue to do that with whoever the new manager is.”
