Joseph Olowu spoke to the media after the 1-0 win over Shrewsbury Town in Sky Bet League One.
The central defender headed home the winner on his return to the side to secure all three points for Rovers.
On a good day at the office:
“As a team we dug in and secured a scrappy win. As a collective we showed that we can mix it to get a result.
“The dressing room is buzzing and rightly so because we’ve worked hard to get the win, the important thing now is to carry it on.
“I came back in and knew what I had to do for the team, I’ve missed not being involved so it was a nice feeling to be back out there.”
On his goal and a clean sheet:
“It’s something we’ve worked on in training over the last few days so it was great to see it come off.
“We tried to keep it as tight as possible at the back but we knew at the other end how important a win was.
“The longer we keep the ball out of our own net the better chance we’ve got of nicking one at the other end.”
