Tom Anderson says Rovers lacked a cutting edge despite dominating possession in the defeat at Ipswich Town in Sky Bet League One.
Goals from Alan Judge and James Norwood sealed the win for the Tractor Boys with Jon Taylor pulling a goal back for Rovers in the second-half.
He said: “It was a difficult one to take, we started well and dominated possession but didn’t really do enough to hurt them.
“We created one or two chances in the first-half but I don’t think we made the most of them and they punished us at the other end.
“It’s annoying because we play good football at times but if we don’t stop it from going in our own net then it doesn’t mean much.”
The captain was frustrated in the manner of the goals conceded, and believes the players need to work on concentrating for the full 90 minutes.
He added: “We’ve got to work on our concentration levels because we’ve been guilty of switching off at key moments recently.
“No matter what goes against us we have to stick together and find a way through a tough run of results.”
