John Bostock says he’s been impressed with the quality on show from his Rovers team-mates since joining the club.
The midfielder signed for Rovers last week on an 18-month deal, and has spent time building up his fitness levels since then.
He said: “I know I’m only 29 but we have quite a young team so I’ve been really impressed by the energy around the place since I came in.
“It’s great getting to know new people, hopefully I can play a big role in helping the team and some of the boys to improve to.
“I’ve been surprised and impressed by the level of the squad and the camaraderie within the dressing room.”
With Rovers having won eight of their past nine league outings, Bostock is hoping to add even more quality to the squad in the second-half of the campaign.
He added: “I’m not thinking about proving myself to anyone, the most important thing is giving my all and trying to be successful.
“I can’t wait to get back playing games, I’m really enjoying training but there is something about matchday and the buzz it gives you.”
