Charles Breakspear will be the man in charge when Rovers host Hull City on Saturday.
He is an experienced official taking charge of his first national league match in 2012 and earning promotion to the National List of Referees 12 month later.
The Surrey-born official hasn’t overseen a Rovers match since a trip to Oxford United in April 2019 – the score ended 2-2 that day. You have to rewind another two years to find the previous occasion when he refereed Rovers. That was also an away trip – this time to Exeter City in 2017 – but ended in a 3-1 defeat.
Breakspear has overseen 23 matches so far this season and has given out 86 yellow cards and five reds.
On Saturday, he will be assisted by Andrew Dallison and Steven Rushton. James Adcock will be the fourth official.
