Ross Joyce will be the man in charge when Rovers host Portsmouth at the Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday.
Joyce has taken charge of one Rovers match this season – 3-2 home win over Blackpool in November while the season before he was the referee for a February trip to Fleetwood.
The Cleveland-based official had an excellent 2018/19 campaign and was rewarded by being given the Sky Bet League Two play-off final.
He has taken charge of 21 games this season handing out 84 yellows and four reds.
On Tuesday, Joyce will be assisted by Barry Gordon and Joe Clark. Rebecca Welch will be the fourth official.
