Officials confirmed for Sunderland

11 February 2021

Neil Hair will be the man in charge when Rovers travel to the Stadium of Light this weekend to face Sunderland in Sky Bet League One.

It’s been 12-months almost to the day since Hair oversaw a Rovers match – he was in charge when Rovers played out a 1-1 draw with Rochdale. Hair gave out just one yellow card that day booking Joe Wright.

The Cambridgeshire man was promoted to the National List of Referees in 2018 and this will be the fourth time he has refereed Rovers. As well as the home draw with Rochdale, he was also in charge for a home draw against Burton Albion last season and an away win at Gillingham the season before.

In the 2020/21 campaign, he has overseen 20 matches handing out 82 yellow cards and two reds.

On Saturday, he will be assisted by Alistair Nelson and Ollie Williams. Graham Salisbury will be the fourth official.
