Taylor Richards says time at Rovers has given him a boost professionally and personally.
The midfielder, who is on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion, caught up with his parent club last week to reflect on his time in Doncaster so far.
He told the Seagulls website: “It’s been great to get out and play regularly in a senior environment.
“It’s given me a boost and to be able to play in competitions like the FA Cup has been enjoyable for me too.”
Richards has spoken about being grateful to Darren Moore after the manager took a chance on him when others had written him off and he told Brighton that Moore has had a big part to play in Richards’ success so far this season.
He added: “He’s been really positive with me. He’s one of the main reasons I joined the club, he’s helped me to settle in and put faith in me too.
“That’s important for a young player going into a new environment. I like to express myself on the pitch, try and create things and run at people and he wants me to have that freedom.
“I’ve improved in a lot of areas but there are also bits of my game that I still need to work on.
“I’m really enjoying it, when you’re playing all the time and doing well, you’re always happy, so long may that continue.”
