Robertson feeling confident heading to Blackpool

23 February 2021

Scott Robertson says Rovers can take momentum from the draw against Hull City into the game against Blackpool on Tuesday night.

Rovers travel to Bloomfield Road looking for their first win in five league games, and Robertson believes scoring late on Saturday has breathed confidence into the group.

He said: “I think we’ve improved over the past couple of games and we’re getting back towards the levels we were at before that.

“Second-half at the weekend was one of the most dominant performances since I came here, even when Copps scored we were trying to get the ball back to go on and win it.

“Results haven’t gone our way recently but we know we’re well in the mix with plenty of games to go this season.”

The Scottish midfielder has made two starts since joining on loan from Celtic at the end of January, and feels he has settled in well.

He added: “So far I’m loving the busy schedule because it gives me more opportunities to get myself used to first-team football.

“Going back to Celtic and training there for a month or so before I came here helped me to get my sharpness back.

“My aim is to play as many games as I can in a competitive league, and the competition for places in the midfield is helping me to improve.”
