Ellery Balcombe was pleased to play his part after saving two penalties in the win against Lincoln City in Sky Bet League One.
Balcombe kept out both Jorge Grant and Anthony Scully from the spot in the second-half to secure a 1-0 victory for Darren Moore’s side.
He said: “It’s really good to be able to do my bit, it was important that we kept them out because we knew it was a big game.
“I watched the penalty takers before the game but it’s all about feeling at the time and analysing their run up and body language.
“The tackle from myself was something I’ll learn from, I shouldn’t have come out for it but luckily I made up for it with the save.”
The win at the LNER Stadium was Rovers fourth on the bounce in the league, and Balcombe says the focus always remains on the next game.
He added: “We just have to keep going now and keep building, we know what we want as a squad and we’ll push as much as we can for that.
“The mentality here is good and we know we’re in a good position, but we won’t get too high and quickly focus on the next game.”
