Omar Bogle says the opportunity to work with Darren Moore was too good to turn down after signing an 18-month deal with Rovers.
The striker joined after his departure from fellow Sky Bet League One side Charlton Athletic, and says the manager had a big part to play in the move.
He said: “As soon as I knew of the interest from the club it was an easy decision, the manager is doing a really good job and it’s exciting to come here.
“The manager was a big factor and it’s always important to go somewhere you know you can play to your strengths.
“I’ve heard a lot of good things especially from players that have worked with him before, he’s got a really good reputation in the game.”
With Rovers currently in fourth position in the Sky Bet League One table, Bogle is hoping to bring goals to the team in the second-half of the campaign.
He added: “The team have done really well to get into the position they’re in with the amount of games they’ve played, and I’m hoping I can come in and add a bit of something different.
“For me I want to play games regularly and I think that will bring the best out of me, I’ll give everything for the team whenever I pull on the shirt.”
