Ellery Balcombe was the hero as his two penalty saves allowed him to keep his third clean sheet in just four league games and saw Rovers claim all three points against Lincoln City.
Taylor Richards gave Rovers the lead with quarter of an hour on the clock - he was given time and space and his shot from the edge of the box crept in at the far post.
It was a game in which Rovers had to do much of the defending with the Imps in fine form but Darren Moore's men blocked everything. Lincoln rattled the crossbar and Conor McGrandles forced a good save from Balcombe soon after half-time but the best chances the hosts had were from the spot but shot-stopper Balcombe saved both.
