Darren Moore was delighted with the signing of highly-rated youngster Ellery Balcombe on loan.
The goalkeeper joins Rovers from Brentford until the end of the season and Moore was pleased to get the deal done early in the window.
“Ellery was somebody who was on our shortlist of goalkeepers in the summer,” he said.
“We’re pleased to get him in and we’re grateful to Brentford for allowing us to have him. He’s a good young goalkeeper that comes highly recommended and is highly-rated, and highly thought of.”
Balcombe is another loan player to bring international age group experience with him to Rovers having made 18 appearances for England across the U18s and U20s sides.
“He’s got international experience which just shows the pedigree of player we’re getting here,” Moore added.
“He has all the attributes you need to be a really top, top goalkeeper and he’ll be given the platform to showcase those talents here at Doncaster Rovers.”
