Darren Moore is expecting another tight game when Rovers take on Lincoln City in Sky Bet League One this weekend.

Moore’s side won the reverse fixture 1-0 back in October, and he says there will be plenty riding on the clash at the LNER Stadium.

He said: “It was a really tight game and two teams who didn’t give much away, they’re having a great season and are top of the league for a reason.

“We expect another difficult game, we’re both in form at present and it’s a local derby for us.

“The way they play is effective and they’ve managed to find consistency in the way they do it so it’s down to us to find a way to counter that.”

After playing and coaching alongside Imps boss Michael Appleton at previous clubs, Moore has been impressed by the job done by his opposite number.

He added: “He started his coaching career really early and he’s had some big jobs before taking the Lincoln role.

“I spoke to him in the summer and we discussed how we saw things going for the season, so it’s no surprise to see them right up there.”
