Darren Moore is expecting a good footballing match when Rovers face Rochdale in Sky Bet League One on Tuesday night.

Moore’s side have won five of their past six league games, while the visitors have scored and conceded 10 goals in their past three outings.

He said: “I’ve got a lot of respect for the work Brian Barry-Murphy is doing there, his team play with an identity and we’re expecting a good game on Tuesday night.

“It’s two styles of play that are suited to getting the ball down and wanting to play on the front foot early on.

“Their last few games have been free-scoring so we know they will come here and attack rather than sitting behind the ball.”

Moore believes his side will have to be strong defensively if they are to earn a positive result at the Keepmoat Stadium.

He added: “We’ve done really well defensively this season and again on Tuesday we will have to be resolute because they will ask questions.

“We felt we deserved a clean sheet at Swindon on Saturday, but even so the lads have all stood up to the different tests we’ve faced.”
