Peter Wright will be the man in charge when Rovers welcome AFC Wimbledon to the Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Wright was promoted to the list of referees ahead of the 2018/19 season and took charge of two Rovers matches that season – a 1-0 defeat away at Accrington Stanley in October and a 1-1 draw with Blackpool the following March.
The Merseyside official hasn’t taken charge of a Rovers game since and will be travelling to the Keepmoat Stadium for the first time on Tuesday.
He has taken charge of 19 matches this season handing out 59 yellow cards and two reds.
On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Conor Brown and Alistair Nelson. The fourth official is Declan Ford.
