Elliot Simoes is looking forward to showing what he can do in a Rovers shirt after joining the club on loan.
The winger signed on loan from Sky Bet Championship side Barnsley on Wednesday, and feels he has something to offer in the second half of the campaign.
He said: “The manager explained how he does things and the fact he likes young players to express themselves which is what I need.
“It’s a nice pressure to come into a team that are doing really well in the league, hopefully I can improve myself and the side.
“As a player I want to get on the ball and be direct, when you’ve got the belief of people around you that makes a big difference.”
Despite not knowing many of the squad personally to start with, Simoes says he’s settled in quickly with the group.
He added: “They’re a very good group, I could tell quickly that it was a good environment with how the lads welcomed me in.
“I don’t know too many of them but I’ve played against some of them and know their qualities on the pitch.”
