Rovers have re-signed winger Josh Sims on loan from Premier League side Southampton until the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
The 23-year-old made an immediate impact in his first loan spell at the club, after joining on deadline day in the summer transfer window.
He played 14 times for Darren Moore’s side, scoring three goals and providing six assists to help Rovers consolidate their position in the top six.
Although the loan was cut short due to a hamstring injury suffered in December, Sims has decided to return to the Keepmoat Stadium despite interest from a number of clubs at Sky Bet Championship level.
He will once again wear the No.20 shirt during his time with Rovers.
