Aidan Barlow said he was delighted to earn a deal with Rovers after a successful trial period.
The 21-year-old has been at the club for several weeks and has impressed in both training and matches.
“I’m delighted. It’s been a tough year for me being out of the game but I’ve kept my mind to it and I’m very grateful for the opportunity and I can’t wait to get started,” Barlow said.
“Since the first day I came here on trial, I felt loved here. There’s a family feel and the football the gaffer plays is great. I think he’s a top manager.
“I’m settled in here and it’s time to kick on.”
Barlow scored five goals in three outings for the club during the pre-season friendlies and says he’s looking forward to kicking on now that his stay at Rovers has been made permanent.
“I think I’m a technical player, I like to get on the ball and link up with players and I liked to score goals,” he added.
“I just try to get in the right place at the right time so I can put the ball in the back of the net.
“I can’t wait to get started, I think once I get up and running I’ll be able to show what I’m made of.”
