Rovers will head to Sky Bet League Two Walsall on Tuesday August 10 for the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The match will be played at the Banks’s Stadium and will kick off at 7.45pm with tickets priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
This is the fifth consecutive season that Rovers have been drawn away in the first round of this cup. Last season the side fell to a narrow 3-2 defeat to Championship side Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
The two teams have played each other 32 times in the league with the most recent meeting ending in a 3-1 win for Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium in March 2019 – they have never met in the cup.
