Rovers have completed the signing of Turkish youth-international striker Tiago Cukur on a season-long loan from Premier League side Watford.
The 18-year-old arrives to bolster the forward line after impressing in the Hornets’ under-23s side since he joined the club in January.
The Dutch-born front man was a product of the Feyenoord Academy and spent time with AZ Alkmaar prior to his move to the UK.
Cukur has since enhanced his reputation at Vicarage Road with his clinical finishing and physical presence, with the player now keen to test himself in the EFL for the first time.
He becomes Rovers’ seventh new signing of the summer and could be involved in the pre-season friendly at Wakefield AFC on Tuesday night.
