Doncaster Rovers can confirm that the pre-season friendly against Spennymoor Town (scheduled to be played on the evening of July 13) has been cancelled due to a member of the Rovers squad testing positive for COVID-19 with close contacts being identified.
The safety, health and well-being of the players, staff and supporters of both teams was paramount in taking the decision to call off the game.
All other pre-season friendlies are expected to go ahead as planned.
