2021/22 fixtures are here!

24 June 2021

Rovers will kick off the 2021/22 campaign by hosting AFC Wimbledon at the Keepmoat Stadium on August 7 while the first away match of the season will be a trip down the road to face Sheffield Wednesday.

Visits to Accrington Stanley and Rotherham United also await Richie Wellens’ men in the opening month of the season while Rovers will also host Portsmouth.

League newcomers Cambridge United and Morecambe will visit Doncaster in September while our Boxing Day fixture will see us host Sunderland.

We host Bolton Wanderers at home on Good Friday and make the trip to Shrewsbury on Easter Monday, and we close the season with a trip to the Kassam Stadium to face Oxford United on April 30.

Following an update on Wednesday evening with regards to the disciplinary commission and Derby County, the EFL has confirmed that it has developed an interchangeable fixture list for Derby and Wycombe Wanderers while the disciplinary process is finalised.

This is because there remains a possibility that, as part of any appeal, the League Arbitration Panel could impose a sporting sanction to take effect in 2020/21 that would potentially impact the final league placings. This could see the club’s switch places for the 2021/22 campaign.  In this scenario, Rovers would host Derby County on October 16 and travel to the Rams on April 2.

All fixtures are provisional and subject to change.
