Rovers have agreed a deal to sign highly rated right-back Kyle Knoyle from newly promoted Cambridge United from July 1.
The 24-year-old has signed a two-year deal with Rovers, after his performances saw him named in the Sky Bet League Two Team of the Year last season.
After coming through the Academy at West Ham United, Knoyle spent time on loan with Dundee United and Wigan Athletic earlier in his career, before a permanent move to Swindon Town in 2017.
During his time at the County Ground, he was managed by current Rovers boss Richie Wellens, and made a total of 69 appearances for the Robins.
Knoyle signed for Cambridge in 2019 and played a pivotal role in the U’s promotion last season, scoring twice and assisting a further six goals from the full-back position.
He becomes Rovers’ second signing of the summer, after the addition of midfielder Ben Close from Portsmouth.
