Andy Butler will welcome back another key player with midfielder John Bostock in contention for Saturday’s match against MK Dons.
There is less positive news for Josh Sims who has returned to parent club Southampton in order to continue treatment on the injury sustained before Gillingham.
Butler said: “John is looking good - things went well with the physio so he’ll be in contention this weekend.
“Josh Sims has had a recurrence of his injury. He feels like he’s lacking power in his left leg, so he’s gone back to Southampton to get that checked over.”
Jon Taylor and Tyreece John-Jules remain the only long-term absentees. Matt Smith is unavailable for Saturday’s game as he is on international duty with Wales.
