Defender Branden Horton has signed a new one-year deal with Rovers.
The 20-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season with his hometown club, featuring 11 times in Sky Bet League One after making his debut at Oxford United in March.
As well as his solid performances at left-back, he also showed his versatility by filling in at right-back against Bristol Rovers on Easter Monday.
Horton’s transition into the first-team was made easier by playing alongside fellow Academy products Louis Jones and AJ Greaves towards the end of the campaign.
