Peter Wright will be the man in the middle for Rovers’ final match of the 2020/21 campaign on Sunday.
Wright was promoted to the National List of Referees ahead of the 2018/19 season taking charge of two Rovers matches that season – a 1-0 away defeat against Accrington Stanley and a 1-1 away draw with Blackpool.
This season, the Merseyside official has visited the Keepmoat Stadium twice. He was fourth official for the 1-0 home defeat to Charlton Athletic and was in charge for Rovers 2-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon in January.
On that day he handed out just one yellow card booking Dons’ midfielder Alex Woodyard. Throughout 2020/21 he has given out a total of 92 yellow cards and three reds.
Wright will be assisted by Geoffrey Liddle and Steven Rushton. Robert Atkin will be the fourth official.
