Tom Anderson spoke to the media ahead of this weekend’s trip to Burton Albion in Sky Bet League One.
The skipper stressed the importance of getting the basics right if Rovers are to pick up a positive result against the Brewers.
On resilience:
“Being resilient is something we’ve been trying to improve on, we know we’re going to be knocked every so often but that happens in football.
“Going back to the basics has worked when we’ve done it, the result at Bolton was disappointing but we had 10 men for a large part of the game.
“We’ve had a lot go against us in terms of injuries but the ones that are out on the field can’t feel sorry for themselves.”
On dealing with the task in hand:
“Togetherness is massive and with that we have to keep believing that things will change for us.
“We need to look at where we are and realise that the focus must be on climbing out of the bottom four.
“It’s an important period now heading into Christmas, a few wins can move you a few places in the table.”
