U18s striker Jack Goodman was buzzing with his injury time winner against Basford United in the FA Youth Cup.
Jericho Bonner pinned Rovers back, equalising for Basford after Alex Fletcher opened scoring. But excellent team comradery saw Rovers U18s fight back and they got their just desserts through Goodman in the 94th minute.
He said: “I’m buzzing. There were some great scenes at full time. I could not believe it myself when I scored.
“I thought we played amazing. Especially down the right-hand side, we created a lot of spaces. We were just a little bit disappointed with our end product at times.
“There was a point where I was starting to think about where I was going to put my penalty if it got to that, but I took my chance when it came in the game which meant we didn’t have to get to that stage.”
