Simon Mather will be the man in charge when Rovers travel to Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday evening.
After an outstanding campaign in the National League last season, Mather was promoted the National List of the referees in the summer.
Tuesday will be just his third match in Sky Bet League One and will mark the first time he has taken charge of a Rovers match, however, he has been fourth official on two occasions: an away match against Shrewsbury Town in February 2019 and a home match against Burton Albion a few months later.
Mather has taken charge of ten games so far this season, handing out a minimum of two bookings per match. In total, he has shown 44 yellow cards and five reds including eight bookings and two reds in a Sky Bet League Two match between Barrow and Colchester United.
On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Mark Jones and Joe Clark. The fourth official will be Ben Toner.
